The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is poised to exert significant influence in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the real showdown won’t unfold until the third season, and a beloved, popular member has just been cast.
The platform declared this week that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay has the ability to morph into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that figure re-envisioned as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and cartoon version.
Escola is joined by multiple fresh additions who will portray the organization to life, including leader the main antagonist, played by Joe Manganiello, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the character won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering the next season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this marks a major departure in the schedule of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
