The Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Astrological Sign
This return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm within the community. Starting with the one-by-one reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's release, to trainers forming firm views on the entire lineup of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions boasting unique appearances that emphasize their traits, one thought naturally: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost selected for this fire sign, as they are the Super Form and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being fun, light-hearted, and impulsive. This makes Aries much more akin to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the friendly side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
Taurus – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its regular and Super Form, has assisted numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still battle-oriented, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will defend their position unwaveringly. What about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several past official descriptions note their craving for tasty sap and how it employs its appendage to collect it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this total queen. You cannot tell me this creature is not the life of every party, offering an endless stream of chatter to those who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire open area with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds very like a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its capability to make a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Mega Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, Leo is obviously Mega Starmie, the star whose legs just became an internet sensation for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Lion brings to the table. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Leo to be putting on a performance, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly judgmental is strongly mirrored across this creature's whole lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden posts to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are many Libras who would probably appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. However, let’s be honest, it would likely just make them stress even more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
Banette is a Pokémon with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion acquaintances. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the perfect match with Super Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Archers are always staging a performance. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve referred to myself some variation of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Super Form, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That exudes the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re right. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Detached element Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
