The European Union might “act quickly and firmly” against what it calls “unjustified” visa bans issued by the United States against five European individuals working on combating digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official stated.

EU Officials Decry US Move as ‘Coercion’

European leaders including Emmanuel Macron charged the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, following the travel bans targeted individuals that were at the heart of campaigns to introduce laws regulating US-based technology firms.
